Facilities Committee walking tour of New York Avenue NE June 17

The BAC Facilities Committee is meeting on June 17 at 5:45 p.m. at the corner of 5th Street NE and Neal Place NE adjacent to Union Market. The meeting is fieldwork to tour a proposed multiuse trail along the New York Avenue NE railroad tracks, connecting the Metropolitan Branch Trail to the National Arboretum via Ivy City. The Washington Area Bicyclist Association and Rails-to-Trails Conservancy are leading the tour. The Facilities Committee is joining to learn about the proposed trail.

Click here for more information. The trail has not been constructed and the tour route is not bikeable. It is not advisable to walk a bike on the tour. Capital Bikeshare vouchers will be available for transportation back to the starting point.
